A familiar opponent, Chinese Taipei had previously faced Vietnam at the AVC Nations Cup. Once again, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet’s players demonstrated superior strength and strategy.

Right from the opening set, powerful spikes from Bich Tuyen and Thanh Thuy overwhelmed the opponent’s defense. Chinese Taipei managed to score only through soft placements, which were quickly countered. Vietnam dominated the first set with a score of 25-13.

In the second set, Chinese Taipei took more risks and kept the game close until 14-14. However, once Vietnam anticipated their tactics, they surged ahead and closed the set at 25-19.

The third set saw the hosts completely overpower their rivals as Chinese Taipei lost momentum and fell 16-25. With a clean 3-0 victory (25-13, 25-19, 25-16), coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team advanced to the final, where they will face Korabelka Club at 7:30 p.m. on July 5.

Set scores:
Vietnam: 25 - 25 - 25
Chinese Taipei: 13 - 19 - 16

Nguyen Thi Trinh sealed the match with a successful attack from position 2, securing the final point in the second semifinal. Vietnam's commanding performance ensures a highly anticipated final against Korabelka from Russia.

Earlier in the day, Korabelka advanced to the final after defeating the Philippines 3-1 (25-16, 25-27, 25-17, 25-22) in the first semifinal.

Vietnam entered the semifinals on an unbeaten run from the group stage. With Thanh Thuy, Bich Tuyen, and their teammates in peak form, the team has shown excellent cohesion and effective tactics, backed by a solid defense.

Despite Chinese Taipei’s agile and defensive style, Vietnam’s consistency and ability to capitalize on key moments proved decisive. With momentum on their side, the Vietnamese women’s team now eyes the championship.
