From the first set, Vietnam asserted total control with fast, flexible play and powerful wing attacks from Bich Tuyen and Thanh Thuy. Despite standout efforts from Alyssa Solomon of the Philippines, Vietnam's solid blocking neutralized her threat effectively.

In the second set, after a tense opening phase, Vietnam accelerated from a 10-10 tie, pulling ahead thanks to sharp offensive coordination and setter play. The Philippines exposed vulnerabilities in their defense and struggled with team cohesion.

The third set was a showcase of perfection for Vietnam. With outstanding execution in serving, attacking, and defending, the red-clad squad closed the match with a five-point scoring streak, sealing their flawless championship run at the AVC Nations Cup 2025.

Match result:
Vietnam vs. Philippines: 3-0
Set scores: 25-15, 25-17, 25-14

The Vietnamese team’s tactical consistency, strong net presence, and stellar individual performances - especially from Thanh Thuy and Bich Tuyen - paved the way for their championship point, which was capped by a clever shot from team captain Thanh Thuy.

With this triumph, head coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his players earned a berth at the 2026 Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship, the most prestigious tournament for top national teams across Asia.

The atmosphere at Dong Anh Stadium in Hanoi was electric as fans erupted in celebration. Setter Lam Oanh’s smart plays, libero Khanh Dang’s timely digs, and aggressive serves from Nguyen Thi Uyen all contributed to the team’s seamless performance.

This final also marked a milestone for the Philippines, as it was their first time reaching the final of a continental competition. Their road to the final, including a five-set thriller against Taiwan, showcased the grit of players like Mhicaela Belen and Alyssa Solomon.

Nonetheless, Vietnam’s superiority across all facets of the game confirmed their dominance in Southeast Asian and Asian women’s volleyball.
