In attendance were General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith; President of the Cambodian People’s Party and President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen; Vice President of Cuba Salvador Valdes Mesa; and leaders and representatives from numerous countries, political parties, and international organizations.
On behalf of the Vietnamese Party, State, and people, President Luong Cuong welcomed and expressed sincere gratitude to international friends for joining the anniversary celebration in Ho Chi Minh City. Their presence, he said, doubled the joy of this historic occasion for the Vietnamese people.

The President emphasized that this day of great national victory is a time for the Vietnamese people to honor and remember the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, former leaders, heroes, martyrs, and all compatriots who fought, sacrificed, and dedicated themselves to national independence and the people's happiness.
It is also a meaningful opportunity for the Party, State, and people of Vietnam to express deep appreciation for the invaluable, sincere, and effective support from socialist allies, international friends, and peace-loving peoples around the world.
Vietnam is now entering a new era with strong determination and hope for national prosperity and development. President Luong Cuong expressed a desire for continued support and close, effective cooperation from the international community.
During the banquet, guests were treated to a vibrant cultural performance featuring traditional melodies, royal court music from Hue, instrumental solos, and songs honoring the beauty, peace, and hospitality of Vietnam. The performance was presented by the Bong Sen Traditional Music and Dance Theater and the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera.
Laos presents top honor to Vietnam’s current and former vice presidents

Earlier in the afternoon, General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith awarded the First-Class Freedom Order to current and former senior leaders of Vietnam.
According to the presidential decree of the Lao State, the First-Class Freedom Order was conferred on Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, along with former Vice Presidents Nguyen Thi Binh, Truong My Hoa, Nguyen Thi Doan, and Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan expressed her heartfelt gratitude upon receiving this distinguished award from the Lao Party and State, personally presented by President Thongloun Sisoulith.
She affirmed that the honor is not only a personal privilege but also a vivid testament to the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. This bond was directly established by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane, and President Souphanouvong, and has been diligently preserved and nurtured by successive generations of leaders and the people of both nations.
The Vice President also extended her sincere thanks to the Lao Party, State, and people for their unwavering support in Vietnam’s struggle for independence and in national development. She expressed appreciation for this meaningful recognition.
She also thanked the Vietnamese Party, State, and people for their support in nurturing her capacity to contribute to the country’s development and to the special Vietnam-Laos relationship.
This honorable distinction, she said, is a profound source of encouragement and motivation to further contribute to strengthening the extraordinary bond between Vietnam and Laos.
