Leaders and representatives of political parties from various countries warmly congratulated Vietnam and expressed their appreciation for the invitation and the respectful welcome.

Speaking on behalf of the foreign delegations, representatives from China, Mongolia, Japan, the Dominican Republic, and France emphasized the magnitude of Vietnam’s historic victory under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh.

They affirmed that this was not only a triumph of the heroic Vietnamese people but also a shared victory of progressive and peace-loving forces around the world, contributing to regional peace and development.

Highlighting the power of international solidarity and longstanding friendship with the Party, State, and people of Vietnam, one delegate emotionally recalled the message embedded in President Ho Chi Minh’s 1942 poem The Big Rock: “With unity and shared resolve, no task is too difficult to complete.”

General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State, and people deeply value and remember the solidarity, support, and assistance from international political parties, governments, and friends throughout Vietnam’s journey.

Emphasizing the historic significance of the April 30, 1975 victory, he described it as a glorious milestone in Vietnam’s history and the greatest achievement of the struggle for national liberation and reunification, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

That victory, he said, vividly symbolized the aspirations for peace and the spirit of “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom,” representing the strength of national unity and the noble international solidarity and conscience of humankind.

The General Secretary acknowledged that the historic April 30 victory was made possible not only by the Vietnamese people but also through the great contributions of peace-loving peoples and progressive forces around the world, including the political parties attending the celebration.

He noted that 2025 will mark the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the nation. From a war-ravaged country, Vietnam has grown into a symbol of peace, stability, and deep global integration across political, economic, and cultural dimensions.

Vietnam now stands at the threshold of a new era - one of transformation and national resurgence.

General Secretary To Lam reaffirmed that the Communist Party of Vietnam remains steadfast in its support for progressive political movements worldwide striving for shared goals. He expressed a strong desire to broaden and deepen relations between political parties, enhance mutual understanding, and foster friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese people and people around the world.

Vietnam also hopes to continue receiving strong support and close cooperation from political parties and peace-loving friends worldwide in its national development efforts. The country is committed to reinforcing traditional ties with global political parties in a more practical, effective, and meaningful direction.

As part of the 50th anniversary celebration, visiting party leaders and representatives will participate in symbolic and cultural activities, including a flower-laying ceremony at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh and visits to historical and cultural sites across Ho Chi Minh City.

Also this afternoon, President Luong Cuong received Cuban Vice President Salvador Valdes Mesa; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man welcomed Belarusian Deputy Speaker Ipatau Vadzim; and Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Tran Cam Tu met with Jorge Inocenio Dombolo, Politburo Member of Angola’s People’s Liberation Movement, who is also in Vietnam for the commemoration of the reunification.
