The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued an advisory urging Vietnamese citizens residing, studying, and working in Israel and Iran to strictly follow local security and safety regulations.

Citizens are advised to remain in contact with authorities, closely monitor updates from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnam’s diplomatic missions in Israel and Iran, and prepare evacuation plans to a third country or back to Vietnam.

“There are over 700 Vietnamese citizens in Israel, 37 Vietnamese nationals, and four individuals of Vietnamese origin in Iran. So far, no casualties among the Vietnamese community in these areas have been reported,” Hang stated.

In recent days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant ministries have been closely coordinating to assess and devise contingency plans. Diplomatic missions in Israel, Iran, and neighboring countries have been instructed to monitor the situation, and to request that local authorities ensure maximum safety for Vietnamese citizens in affected areas.

The ministry and its missions are working with domestic agencies and foreign embassies in Hanoi, as well as host-country diplomatic corps, to develop protection plans and ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens, embassies, and consular offices, including evacuation strategies to third countries.

Hang revealed that today, the Vietnamese Embassy in Iran, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Russian Federation and other relevant parties, successfully facilitated the protection and evacuation of 18 citizens from Iran to a third country and onward to Vietnam.

She added that the Vietnamese Ambassador to Iran and four staff members are maintaining regular contact with the remaining Vietnamese citizens in the country. These individuals are safe, in stable psychological condition, and remain in close contact with the embassy.

The Embassy in Iran continues to advise the Vietnamese community to stay alert, avoid large gatherings, strictly comply with local safety regulations, and monitor official alerts.

“Since the conflict erupted in the region, we have continuously issued advisories and implemented citizen protection measures,” Hang noted.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel has launched an online registration portal for citizens wishing to return home or relocate to a third country. This allows authorities to compile data and formulate support plans.

The embassy has also advised Vietnamese citizens in Israel to remain calm and proactive, and when conditions allow, to leave the country via land border crossings, provided security and safety can be ensured.
