This year, according to the Miss Earth Vietnam organizers, the newly crowned Miss may not automatically advance to the international Miss Earth competition.

Instead, all top four finalists will continue to be evaluated after the finale to determine the most suitable representative for Vietnam at the global pageant.

The panel of judges at the finale included People's Artist Le Khanh, People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, supermodel Xuan Lan, and Miss Vietnam 2002 Mai Phuong. Notably, reigning Miss Earth 2024 Jessica Lane was also present in Vietnam, serving as a guest judge.

The Top 20 finalists included: Pham Hoang Thu Uyen, Ngo Thi Tram Anh, Phung Doanh Doanh, Duong Thi Hong Vy, Tran Nhat Le, Tran Thi Uyen, Trinh My Anh, Nguyen Thi Hien Trang, Duong Thuy Hien, Do Khanh An, Ha Thi Thuy Dung, Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, Vu Ngoc Anh Duong, Nguyen Thi Cam Tu, Tran Thi Bao Nhi, Nguyen Le Yen Nhi, Le Hoang Bao Ngoc, Nguyen Hong Van, Phan Tran Linh Dan, and Bui Ly Thien Huong.

Eight contestants competed in the evening gown round: Tran Nhat Le, Vu Ngoc Anh Duong, Trinh My Anh, Phan Tran Linh Dan, Duong Thi Hong Vy, Ngo Thi Tram Anh, Pham Hoang Thu Uyen, and Bui Ly Thien Huong.

Four contestants advanced to the Q&A segment focused on environmental protection: Trinh My Anh, Phan Tran Linh Dan, Ngo Thi Tram Anh, and Bui Ly Thien Huong.

Top answers from the Q&A segment

Phan Tran Linh Dan was asked about her attitude and actions toward environmental protection. She emphasized that safeguarding the environment doesn’t require grand gestures, but starts with daily habits such as switching off unused lights, reducing plastic usage, planting trees on balconies, and sorting waste. While simple, these acts, when done by millions, can create powerful change.

Trinh My Anh addressed the importance of environmental protection for human and animal survival. She reminded the audience of nature’s gifts - clean water, fresh air, and birdsong - and warned that when nature is harmed, both animals and humans face dire consequences. Her message was: "The Earth can exist without humans, but humans cannot survive without the Earth."

Ngo Thi Tram Anh answered a question on climate change and mitigation. She pointed out the reality of intensifying storms, polluted air, and dwindling water supplies, posing the question: "Have we truly listened to the Earth?"

She argued that solutions must begin not with policies or advanced technology, but with individual awareness and action. When people realize they are part of the planet, protecting it becomes a responsibility, not a choice.

Bui Ly Thien Huong discussed the role of community awareness and advanced technology in saving the planet. She stressed their interdependence - public awareness limits pollution while technology addresses existing environmental damage.

She cited the Soc Son waste-to-energy plant, the largest in Southeast Asia and the second largest globally, as a prime example. The facility transforms waste into energy and helps produce cleaner air.
