As part of an official working visit to Ho Chi Minh City, representatives from the Trump Organization - led by the son of U.S. President Donald Trump - are surveying the proposed site for a Trump Tower development in the city.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of External Relations, on the afternoon of May 19, Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Van Duoc hosted a meeting with Charles James Bowman, Project Director of Trump International Hung Yen.
The meeting took place at the HCMC People’s Committee headquarters, with the participation of officials from the city’s Office of the People’s Committee and departments of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources and Environment, and Construction.
A separate engagement is scheduled for May 22, when Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc will attend a formal dinner with Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization.
According to the Department of External Relations, the two meetings are part of a program to promote the Trump Vietnam Project in Ho Chi Minh City, spearheaded by Kinh Bac City Development Corporation and Saigon Investment Group. The companies previously met with HCMC leaders in March 2025.
For this working visit, the Trump Organization delegation is split into two teams. The first, led by Charles James Bowman, met with city leadership on May 19. The second, led by Eric Trump, will hold talks on May 22.
“The delegation will visit the Thu Thiem New Urban Area to survey the proposed site for the Trump Tower and hopes to hold working sessions with city leaders regarding the project,” the Department of External Relations confirmed.
