Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha recently signed the official decision, following a proposal from the Ministry of Finance and the Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee.

The project, backed by the Trump Organization, will develop a large-scale urban, eco-tourism, and golf resort complex built to international standards.

Spanning a planned area of 990.43 hectares, the project is designed to fully capitalize on the region's natural and economic potential.

It aims to support the strategic development of the Red River tourism corridor linking Hung Yen with Hanoi and northern provinces.

With a total investment of VND 39,787 billion (approximately USD 1.533 billion), the project is divided into four main subzones.

These include a luxury residential area integrated with a high-end golf course for 3,500 residents, an eco-residential area with a nature-themed golf course for 1,800 residents, a commercial urban district designed to accommodate 29,700 people, and a dedicated area for green spaces and themed parks.

The golf facility is planned to feature a total of 54 holes, including a 36-hole course and an 18-hole course. Additionally, 7.28 hectares will be designated for the development of social housing.

Of the total capital, VND 4,087 billion (approximately USD 157.5 million) is allocated for compensation and resettlement, while the remaining VND 35,700 billion (USD 1.376 billion) will go toward construction and development.

Construction is scheduled to begin in Q2 2025 and conclude by Q2 2029. The project will operate under a 50-year term.

Previously, the Ministry of Finance submitted a report to the Prime Minister requesting investment approval for the proposal by Hung Yen Investment and Development Group JSC.

In September 2024, representatives from Hung Yen’s provincial government and U.S. partners, including the Trump Organization, signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate on the project.

The Trump Organization, a private multi-sector corporation owned by the family of former U.S. President Donald Trump, operates across a range of industries including real estate, hospitality, golf course development, entertainment, and asset management.

It is recognized globally as a leading investor in luxury real estate and golf resorts, with large-scale developments in several countries.
