According to VietNamNet reporters on the scene, many areas in Hac Thanh Ward - such as Dong Phat, Mat Bang 530, Binh Minh, and Tay Bac Ga - suffered severe flooding. Water levels rose rapidly, submerging dozens of cars up to their engine compartments and even flooding vehicle interiors.

Some vehicle owners attempted to jack up their cars to avoid water damage, but their efforts were in vain.

Le Thi Gam, a resident of Dong Phat Apartment Complex, shared that her family has lived there for 20 years but had never witnessed flooding this severe. “The area where we park motorbikes is submerged up to the wheel rims, and cars parked on the streets are under as much as half a meter of water,” she said.
