In the early hours of May 18, dozens of officers from the Lam Dong Provincial Police, in coordination with Ward 2 police in Bao Loc City, conducted a surprise inspection of the Sky entertainment venue on Nguyen Van Troi Street. At the time, more than 60 customers were partying at 12 tables. When the police arrived, many fled in panic.
Rapid drug tests revealed that 16 individuals, including two staff members, were positive for narcotics.
Officers also discovered a 28-year-old man, identified only as Ch., a resident of Binh Thuan Province, in possession of three green tablets suspected to be ecstasy. He is under investigation for organizing illegal drug use. Authorities have confiscated and sealed all related evidence.
Additionally, police found several crates of beer, liquor, various types of cigarettes, and two tanks of nitrous oxide (commonly known as laughing gas) in the bar's storage area. These items lacked proper invoices and documentation of origin. All goods were seized and sealed for further verification in accordance with regulations.
When questioned, the bar's representatives provided a business registration certificate, a food safety certificate, and an emergency response plan. However, they failed to produce the required licenses for selling alcohol, beer, and tobacco products.
Police are continuing to categorize and handle the drug-positive individuals and are investigating the business for trading goods of unclear origin.
