Returning to Terminal 2, Mr. Syun sought help from on-duty security officer Kieu Huy Hung. Although the language barrier made communication difficult, Hung attentively listened through a phone-based translation and immediately began assisting.
Despite the fact that CCTV footage could not capture the vehicle's license plate or the driver’s face, Hung and the airport’s enforcement team used investigative measures to uncover a lead.
Shortly afterward, authorities were able to contact the original taxi driver. After verifying the situation, the driver authorized a colleague to return the backpack to Noi Bai.
By 12:30 a.m., the backpack was safely delivered to Mr. Syun, who received it with great emotion.

“I didn’t know what was inside. The guest only repeatedly said it contained important documents and money,” Hung shared. “But whatever it was, our responsibility is to act swiftly and decisively to assist our passengers.”
Following the incident, Mr. Syun sent a heartfelt email to the Passenger Service Quality Action Committee at Noi Bai International Airport to express his gratitude for Hung’s dedication.
In his message, he revealed that the backpack contained not only clothes and a laptop but also 100,000 Chinese yuan in cash - equivalent to nearly 365 million VND (around USD 3,900). He said that without Hung’s determination and support, he might have lost everything.
