Initial findings from the Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department revealed that the “Nguoi dua tin” YouTube channel had committed multiple violations.

Since March 2024, the channel used manipulative tactics to attract viewers and had uploaded over 6,700 videos containing negative and distorted content targeting individuals, organizations within the political system, and policies of the Party and the State. The channel had amassed nearly 2 million subscribers and over 1 billion views.

Police also confirmed that the operators of the channel illicitly earned more than VND 10 billion (approximately USD 400,000) from their activities.

Authorities stated that these actions severely influenced public opinion and disrupted social order.

Through professional investigative methods, the Cybersecurity Department swiftly identified and neutralized the group managing the channel and coordinated with the Criminal Investigation Office (PC01) to carry out arrests and further investigation.

According to police, Le Van Can was the ringleader, while Minh and Tan played supporting roles in video editing and production.

The investigation is ongoing.
