The Miss World 2025 opening gala took place in Telangana, India, bringing together 109 contestants from countries and territories across the globe.
Against the backdrop of vibrant Indian folk music, contestants took the stage by region: the Americas, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Each wore unique national costumes and delivered creative, culturally infused dance performances that showcased their heritage.
Vietnam’s representative, Huynh Tran Y Nhi, was the last to appear. Dressed in an outfit inspired by the culture of Vietnam’s Central Highlands, Y Nhi lit up the stage with her beaming smile, confident presence, and particularly striking finale: a 15-spin twirl under the radiant spotlight.
Miss USA, Athenna Crosby, age 26, is a well-known journalist in her home country. She wore a costume designed by her mother.

Miss Philippines, Krishnah Gravidez, impressed with a masterful fan dance performance.
Brazilian contestant Jéssica Pedroso stood out with a confident and captivating display of her country’s traditional dance.
The grand opening received praise for the contestants’ detailed preparation, from elaborate costumes and accessories to imaginative choreography.
According to the official schedule, the Asia-Pacific contestants will take part in an outdoor excursion on May 12, followed by the next key stages of the Miss World 2025 competition.
