On May 21, the Head to Head Challenge round of Miss World 2025 took place in Telangana, India, featuring contestants from Asia-Pacific and Europe.
Wearing an elegant white dress, Y Nhi exuded sophistication and charm. Throughout her presentation, she maintained confident body language and a bright smile while speaking fluently in English.

Y Nhi shared her personal journey - from a childhood dreamer to being crowned Miss World Vietnam 2023, studying abroad in Australia, and now standing on the international stage representing Vietnam.
She introduced her Beauty with a Purpose project titled Mo Sach - Mo Uoc Mo (Open a Book - Open a Dream), which supports children in remote areas by building community libraries. So far, over 20 libraries have been completed. “I believe the biggest barrier is not material deprivation but the loss of hope in the future. I want to help children rediscover that hope through books,” Y Nhi said.
Y Nhi also emphasized that regardless of the competition’s outcome, she remains committed to expanding her project. “Whether or not I become Miss World, I will continue this journey - to turn books into dreams, and dreams into reality.”
She expressed gratitude to the Miss World Organization for creating a platform where women can share meaningful social messages on a global stage.
Her performance received widespread praise from audiences, highlighting her growth since earlier phases of the competition.
Alongside Y Nhi, many other contestants also left lasting impressions. Australia’s Jasmine Stringer spoke passionately about domestic violence. France’s Agathe Cauet moved the room by revealing she had undergone surgery to remove a 9-kg ovarian tumor at just 17 years old - a story that prompted Miss World Chairwoman Julia Morley and reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszkova to embrace her on stage.
Ireland’s Jasmine Gerhardt highlighted her project on education, community outreach, and female empowerment. Thailand’s Suchata Chuangrsi shared an emotional story about being diagnosed with a breast tumor at 16, which inspired her Opal for HER initiative to raise awareness about breast cancer nationwide.
Netherlands’ Jane Knoester dazzled the audience with her angelic beauty. Fluent in four languages, she is both a model and a figure skater.
Philippines’ Krishnah Gravidez impressed with her initiative to renovate and rebuild seven educational centers and schools. Sri Lanka’s Anudi Gunasekara was praised for her health-focused humanitarian project.
This year’s Beauty with a Purpose projects focused on key themes including education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, mental wellness, and cancer awareness.
However, some contestants struggled, relying on notes or smartphones due to inadequate preparation. Following this round, judges will select five top candidates from each region to move on to the next face-off.
