On the evening of June 22, Dong Nai Provincial Police, in coordination with relevant authorities, cordoned off the area to investigate the cause of the incident after the skeleton was found in the water tank of a local home in Bien Hoa City.

According to initial reports, around 5 p.m. the same day, Mr. L.H.C., a resident of Binh Duong Hamlet, Long Binh Tan Ward, hired workers to renovate his home. During the work, one of the workers climbed onto the tin roof and was startled to find a human skeleton inside a stainless steel water tank.

The worker immediately informed the homeowner, who then notified local authorities.

According to family members, the tank had been unused for a long time after the household switched to using tap water. Due to the elderly couple’s age, they had been unable to dismantle the tank and left it in place on the rooftop.

It wasn’t until the renovation that the worker discovered the remains inside.

Police quickly arrived at the scene to collect evidence and launch an investigation. Preliminary findings included a wallet found on the roof containing vehicle registration papers for a motorcycle with license plates registered in Long An Province.
