The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) has issued a formal notice to the Nghe An Provincial People’s Committee and relevant aviation units regarding the temporary closure of Vinh Airport. The closure will facilitate the implementation of the “Runway and Taxiway Repair Project at Vinh Airport,” which includes construction and the installation of necessary equipment.

CAAV has instructed the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Vinh Airport to fully comply with legal regulations on investment and construction throughout the temporary shutdown period.

ACV is also required to coordinate with contractors to ensure that construction strictly adheres to safety protocols, fire prevention and control standards, environmental hygiene, and aviation security.

Following the official decision by the Ministry of Construction to temporarily close the airport, CAAV has requested that ACV work directly with the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM) to provide necessary data and assist in issuing appropriate aeronautical information notices as required by current regulations.

VATM is responsible for issuing timely and compliant aeronautical notifications regarding the closure.
