This project is a collaborative effort between Russia’s Magnit Group and Vietnam’s Masan Group, following a cooperation agreement between the two companies.
Present at the opening were Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, Commercial Counselor at the Vietnamese Embassy Duong Hoang Minh, Vladislav Bakhtenko - General Director of Grand-Trade JSC, which manages the project - along with representatives of both countries' businesses and a large number of Russian and Vietnamese citizens.

At the “Vietnam Corner,” more than 150 Vietnamese products are displayed, including fresh fruits (pineapple, mango, passion fruit, mangosteen, dragon fruit, lychee), dried fruits, noodles, coffee, fish sauce, beverages, and various teas.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi congratulated the businesses and emphasized that this occasion marked a promising beginning for future initiatives to connect and promote Vietnamese goods on a larger scale.
According to the ambassador, the “Vietnam Corner” introduces Russian consumers to a wide variety of Vietnamese products - ranging from fruits, noodles, and pho to drinks, spices, and regional culinary cultures from the S-shaped country. He expressed hope that more Russians would discover and explore Vietnamese culture and cuisine through this initiative.
Vladislav Bakhtenko, General Director of Grand-Trade, highlighted that the “Vietnam Corner” is more than just a commercial stall. It is a cultural space rich in emotion, offering Russians a taste of Vietnam and insight into its traditions and national identity.
Nguyen Tan Ky, Sales Director and representative of Masan Group in Russia, stated that the launch continues the cultural and commercial collaboration between Masan, Magnit, and other Russian partners.
Earlier, on Russia’s National Day, June 12, Masan and its Russian partners opened a “Russia Corner” in Hanoi to introduce Russian food and culture to Vietnamese consumers. That event showcased over 170 products from 30 Russian manufacturers.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi and the guests toured the space, interacted with Russian visitors, and sampled Vietnamese dishes.
Particularly interested in the fresh fruit offerings, Olga, a Moscow resident, expressed her delight at finally being able to enjoy tropical fruits previously unavailable in Russian supermarkets. She believes “Vietnam Corner” will attract many local shoppers.
Dima, another local visitor, happily browsed the beverage section with his two children. He noted that his kids are fond of Vietnamese drinks and said they came to experience the corner firsthand - and he plans to recommend it to friends.
