On June 24, Ha Nam Provincial Police organized the disposal of weapons, explosives, support tools, and fireworks collected through campaigns and submissions from individuals, agencies, organizations, and enterprises authorized to possess such items in the province.
Earlier, Ha Nam police had launched an intensive campaign to inspect and encourage the public to surrender illegally held weapons and explosives, and to crack down on violations related to these items.
Since the beginning of 2024, law enforcement has received and recovered thousands of such items across the province.
After careful inspection and classification, more than 2,100 weapons, explosives, and support tools were destroyed in accordance with strict procedures and under the close supervision of the Disposal Council.
The destroyed items included 416 firearms, 409 support tools, 806 rudimentary weapons, 2 kilograms of fireworks, 23 artillery mounts, and 506 homemade fireworks.
This disposal effort is part of the strict implementation of the Law on the Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives, and Supporting Tools. It also strengthens state control and raises public awareness and compliance with regulations on weapon management, contributing to security and public order in the province.
