Road accidents, the bulk of the total, numbered 7,781, with 4,277 deaths and 5,292 injuries, reflecting declines of 25.31%, 5.56%, and 34.72%, respectively. Railway accidents fell to 47, down 7.84%, with 30 deaths (down 21.05%) but a 42.86% hike in injuries, totaling 10.

Concerns arose in the waterway sector, where 22 accidents occurred, unchanged from last year, but fatalities rose by 41.67% to 17, and injuries surged 150% to five. Maritime transport reported three accidents, with no change in incidents or injuries but deaths spiked 300% to four.

In aviation, the CAAV logged 114 mandatory safety reports from December 16, 2024, to May 15, 2025, including one Level C, 31 Level D and 82 Level E incidents, with no serious Level B. Tech failures caused 18 incidents, while human error triggered 12./. VNA
