These are the university's first master's programs developed under VNU’s internationalization initiative, offering graduate-level training in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, and Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. The programs are built to meet international accreditation standards and will be delivered entirely in English by a team of experienced local and international faculty members.
In addition, international students will participate in basic Vietnamese language modules to support daily communication and cultural integration throughout their studies in Vietnam. The four programs will begin accepting applications this year.
According to VNU-UMP, a network of 29 central-level and Hanoi-based hospitals will serve as reputable clinical training facilities, ensuring high-quality hands-on experience for students.
India will be the first country to send students to enroll in these new master's programs. “Partly because their domestic institutions cannot meet the growing demand, but more importantly, Vietnam has emerged as a highly rated destination for medical education,” said a university representative.
Currently, more than 400 Indian students are pursuing undergraduate medical degrees in Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.
“Bringing international students to study in Vietnam is essential and meaningful, as it helps foster an international academic environment right here in our country,” the representative added.
