State President Luong Cuong met with Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives Hanafy El Gebaly in Cairo on August 6 (local time), as part of his ongoing state visit to Egypt.
Vietnam and Egypt have officially upgraded their bilateral ties to a comprehensive partnership during President Luong Cuong’s visit, setting the stage for broader cooperation.
State President Luong Cuong, accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation, met with staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Egypt during his state visit.
Vietnamese Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang met with his Egyptian counterpart, General Abdel Mageed Saqr, in Cairo on August 4, part of President Luong Cuong’s ongoing state visit to Egypt.
President Luong Cuong has expressed VN desire to join hands with Arab countries to write a new chapter of multidimensional cooperation for peace, collaboration, and development.
To build on the cordial relations, President Luong Cuong called for enhanced political and diplomatic engagement to deepen trust and mutual understanding between Vietnam and AL member states.
State President Luong Cuong, accompanied by his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, on August 4 toured the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a monumental cultural landmark of Egypt in the 21st century.
President Cuong’s visit is taking place in the context of positive development of Vietnam - Egypt relations. This is the first visit to Egypt by a key Vietnamese leader in seven years.
