Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed several decisions on personnel appointments within the Ministry of National Defense.

Specifically, Prime Minister Chinh appointed Major General Nguyen Ba Luc, Commander of Corps 34 under the Ministry of National Defense, as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

In addition, the Prime Minister also issued appointments for senior personnel across various military regions and branches:

Major General Nguyen An Phong, Director of the Organization Department under the General Political Department, was appointed Political Commissar of the Navy.

Major General Truong Manh Dung, Commander of Corps 12, was appointed Commander of Military Region 1.

Major General Vo Tien Nghi, Director of the Reconnaissance Department of the Border Guard Command, was appointed Deputy Commander of the Border Guard.

Colonel Hoang Duy Chien, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4, was appointed Deputy Commander of Military Region 4.

Colonel Pham Hung Hung, Commander of the Military Command of Lao Cai Province (Military Region 2), was appointed Deputy Commander of Military Region 2.

Colonel Phan Dai Nghia, Commander of the Military Command of Nghe An Province (Military Region 4), was appointed Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 5.

Colonel Dang Van Long, Commander of the Military Command of Tuyen Quang Province (Military Region 2), was appointed Deputy Commander of Military Region 2.

Colonel Nguyen Huy Tuan, Deputy Director of Political Affairs of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, was appointed Deputy Political Commissar of the Air Defense - Air Force Service.

Colonel Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy, was appointed Deputy Commander of the Navy.

All appointments are effective immediately and are set for a five-year term.
