A stunning comeback
Despite struggling with the rainy weather and slippery pitch, the Manchester United legends started stronger and scored in the 6th minute. Vietnam All Stars’ defense was caught off guard after a foul by a MU legend, allowing young player Nata Souza to swiftly break into the box and finish clinically.
Less than five minutes later, Vietnam All Stars conceded a second goal. Goalkeeper Duong Hong Son made an uncharacteristic error, letting a tame shot slip through his legs – a mishap likely caused by the slick conditions on the pitch.
In the second half, both teams rotated in more young players. Vietnam All Stars dominated and secured a 3-2 victory. The winning goal came from Van Quyet, who capitalized on a shocking error by goalkeeper David Aziaya, who inadvertently passed the ball directly to Vietnam’s number 10.
