Tien Linh has overtaken Xuan Son in the V-League Golden Boot race, reaching a significant milestone in his professional career.

During Binh Duong’s 2-1 away victory against Quang Nam in Round 12 of the LPBank V-League 2024/25, Tien Linh scored the team’s second goal, helping secure the win.

With this goal, the 1997-born striker now leads the V-League’s top scorers list with 8 goals, surpassing Leo Artur (CAHN) and Xuan Son (Nam Dinh), both on 7 goals.

More notably, Tien Linh has reached the 100-goal mark in his career:

75 goals for Binh Duong FC

25 goals for the Vietnam national team

His best scoring season in the V-League came in 2018, when he netted 15 goals. This season, with Xuan Son sidelined due to a long-term injury, Tien Linh has a golden opportunity to break his own record and claim the Golden Boot award.

With his impressive performances for both club and country, Tien Linh is emerging as a top candidate for the Vietnam Golden Ball 2024, the country’s most prestigious football award.
