In addition to the main 10,000-seat grandstand, local households, hotels, and restaurants along Tran Hung Dao Street in Son Tra District - directly facing the fireworks stage - are cashing in by offering rooftop seats for rent. Prices range from a few hundred thousand to several million VND per person.
On May 20, VietNamNet reporters found that many high-rise buildings along the Han River had already put up signs advertising available rooftop seating. Posts offering these spots have also flooded social media and travel forums.

According to a survey, seats on Han River cruises cost between 800,000 VND and nearly 3 million VND ($32 to $120) per person depending on the vessel, seat location, and fireworks night. For instance, the Han River Cruise Company lists its prices at 1 million VND for first-floor seats and 1.2 million VND for second-floor seats, both including a light meal and drinks.
On Tran Hung Dao Street, rooftop seats generally range from 300,000 to 1 million VND ($12 to $40) per person. Group bookings for 15–30 people renting an entire rooftop can cost over 10 million VND, depending on services offered.
At house number 185 Tran Hung Dao, front-row rooftop seats for opening night are priced at 700,000 VND, while seats further back go for 350,000 VND. Both include light refreshments.
“The fourth floor is already fully booked. Only seats on the fifth and sixth floors remain,” said Ms. M.B., a representative of the building.

Nearby, another high-rise is offering rooftop seats for 400,000 VND each but prioritizes groups of 10–15 people. Smaller groups will be considered based on availability.
Not only private homes and hotels, but several restaurants are also joining the fireworks-viewing service market.
At restaurant L.G. on Tran Hung Dao Street, representative Ms. N. shared: “We rent out rooms for fireworks viewing at 2 million VND per room for groups of 10 or more, excluding food. For groups of five or more, the viewing fee is 1 million VND. Solo customers who don’t order food will be charged 200,000 VND each, but we may limit individual bookings.”
DIFF 2025, themed “Da Nang – A New Era,” will run from May 31 to July 12. The festival features six fireworks nights with competing teams from Vietnam, Finland, the UK, Portugal, Poland, South Korea, Italy, Canada, and China.
