Under the talent attraction policy of the HCM City University of Technology, academics with a doctoral degree or higher receive a basic salary under current regulations, along with a salary depending on their position: VND18 million per month for those with a doctorate, VND28 million for associate professors, and VND33 million for professors.

The university reports that the average total income for its lecturers ranges from VND35 million to VND45 million per month for doctorate holders and VND85 million per month for associate professors and professors.

Additionally, they enjoy attractive benefits such as bonuses for holidays, Tet, and an average year-end bonus of 20 percent of their state salary and wages based on their positions. Furthermore, scientists earn money from the university’s scientific research support policies.

Meanwhile, at the University of Economics and Law, a member school of the Vietnam National University, HCM City, professors receive a lump sum of VND350 million, associate professors VND250 million, and doctorate holders VND150 million when they first join the school’s staff. In addition, lecturers are awarded VND150 million upon achieving the standards for the professor title and VND100 million upon achieving the associate professor title.

In terms of income, lecturers with a doctoral degree and over three years of experience earn VND35 million per month, associate professors VND55 million per month, and professors VND65 million per month.

At the University of Social Sciences and Humanities HCM City, newly recruited professors receive VND200 million, associate professors VND150 million, and doctors VND100 million. Meanwhile, professors, associate professors, and doctors receive salaries according to state regulations and positional salaries amounting to tens of millions VND per month.

At the University of Information Technology, in addition to state-regulated salaries, the average income for a doctorate holder with over three years of experience is VND45 million per month; for an associate professor, VND55 million per month. Lecturers at this university also receive financial support ranging from VND70 million to VND100 million upon achieving the professor or associate professor title standards.

Under the talent attraction policy of An Giang University, newly recruited doctorate holders receive VND60 million upon joining, with monthly incomes reaching tens of millions VND thereafter.

Nguyen Xuan Hoan, Rector of HCM City University of Industry, stated that the average income for professors at the university currently ranges from VND75 million to VND80 million per month, associate professors VND70 million to VND73 million, and doctorate holders VND45 million to VND47 million.

The university provides financial support for recruits: VND100 million for those with a doctoral degree, VND150 million for associate professors, and VND200 million for professors.
