According to the announcement, the PJICO board approved the appointment of Chairman Pham Thanh Hai as the new legal representative of the company, replacing CEO Nguyen Thi Huong Giang. The change was made as Ms. Giang no longer meets the current legal criteria to serve as PJICO’s legal representative.
In addition, the board passed a resolution officially dismissing Ms. Giang from her position as CEO, following the results of a written vote among board members.
That same day, the board also passed a resolution dismissing Deputy CEO Tran Hoai Nam from his position.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Giang has been closely associated with PJICO for nearly 30 years.
Born in 1975 in Hai Duong Province, she holds a Master’s degree in Finance - Banking - Insurance from the University of Nantes (France) and a condensed MBA from Andrews University (USA).
She joined PJICO in mid-1997 as a specialist in the Technical Property Insurance Department and went on to serve in several key roles, including Deputy Head of Reinsurance, Head of Property Insurance, and Deputy CEO.
In March 2022, she was appointed CEO of PJICO, succeeding Dao Nam Hai, who later became CEO of Petrolimex.
In April 2022, Ms. Giang was also appointed to PJICO’s board of directors.
