The Petrolimex Board of Directors issued a resolution officially removing Hai from his position as CEO and suspending his role as a board member, following a decision by the Ministry of Finance earlier in May to temporarily suspend Hai’s representation of the state capital at the corporation.

Previously, after the suspension of Hai’s duties, the Ministry of Finance appointed Board Chairman Pham Van Thanh - the corporation’s legal representative - to temporarily oversee operations as of May 8. Thanh was also entrusted with managing the state capital stake formerly represented by Hai.
