A bold new orange color option is rumored to join the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max lineup, promising to bring a fresh, vibrant aesthetic to Apple's flagship series.

According to recent leaks, the orange variant is expected to accompany existing color choices such as black, gray, silver, and deep blue. An image shared online shows the camera ring of the Pro models in a bright orange hue, offering a realistic preview of the upcoming design.
The camera ring color is expected to match the chassis it’s attached to, suggesting the orange tone will extend across the entire frame, not just the lens area.
As reported by PhoneArena, the orange stands out starkly among other more subdued tones, making it a bold statement in this year's color palette. Previous reports indicated a light blue version might have been considered, but it’s believed to have been shifted to the iPhone 17 Air lineup instead.
That change makes sense, especially given that a light blue iPhone 17 Air would closely resemble the "Bay" blue Pixel 8 Pro from Google. Leaks also suggest the standard iPhone 17 might finally arrive in the long-anticipated purple variant.
In addition to the light blue, the iPhone 17 Air may offer green and purple options if recent leaked images of camera rings are accurate.
The orange iPhone 17 Pro continues the adventurous trend started with the “Desert Titanium” finish introduced on the iPhone 16 Pro. However, the new orange hue is expected to be even more daring and distinctive.
Of course, color isn’t the only major upgrade this year. The Pro models are also rumored to feature a completely redesigned rear camera system, while the iPhone 17 Air is set to replace the previous Plus variant in the lineup.
Samsung is reportedly taking similar creative risks, offering an exclusive Coral Red version of the Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus through its online store. However, if the Galaxy S26 Ultra wants to compete head-to-head with the orange iPhone 17 Pro, Samsung may need to raise the bar even further.
