Over 350 officers and soldiers were mobilized to assist with disaster response, security, rescue efforts, and aid delivery. The provincial police force is maintaining high-alert protocols for emergency deployment in anticipation of further rainfall.

In neighboring Lao Cai province, intense rain on the morning of June 9 led to flash flooding in Muong Khuong town. Floodwaters damaged over 20 hectares of crops and inundated streets and houses. Local authorities quickly dispatched machinery and personnel to clear debris and restore traffic flow.

On National Highway 4D connecting Lai Chau and Lao Cai, landslides and mudslides were reported, disrupting transportation.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts continued heavy rainfall in northern Vietnam over the next three days.
