The decision was issued by the Prime Minister and grants Hoang Nam the authority to serve as acting chairman until the position of chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee is formally filled for the ongoing term.

Hoang Nam appointed acting chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee.

Born in 1971 in Cam Hieu commune, Cam Lo district, Quang Tri province, Mr. Hoang Nam holds a master’s degree in public administration, a bachelor’s degree in economics, and a bachelor of science in English. He also possesses an advanced degree in political theory.

At the 18th meeting of the 17th Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee on November 18, 2024, the committee unanimously voted to recommend Mr. Hoang Nam to the provincial Party Standing Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hoang Nam has held various leadership positions, including Deputy Director and Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee.

Previously, from November 22, 2024, Standing Deputy Chairman Ha Sy Dong was appointed acting chairman following the reassignment of former chairman Vo Van Hung, who was named Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. Mr. Ha Sy Dong has since retired.
