Vietnam is emerging as a leading destination for high-tech enterprises, according to major global players like Meta and Marvell. These companies praised the country’s competitive advantages at the Vietnam Investment Forum, held on May 20 as part of the Southeast Asia Semiconductor Exhibition 2025 in Singapore.
The event was jointly organized by the National Innovation Center (NIC), the Ministry of Finance, the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, and Meta. It comes as Vietnam accelerates its transition to a growth model driven by science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
This year’s forum focused on four key goals:
Promoting Vietnam’s high-tech investment environment and ecosystem
Presenting priority government policies in strategic sectors like semiconductors, AI, and smart manufacturing
Fostering connections between businesses, research institutes, and international partners
Advancing training programs and establishing a regional semiconductor talent hub in Vietnam
Vietnam open to collaboration with global tech leaders
"Vietnam welcomes and is ready to work closely with global tech giants such as Meta, NVIDIA, Marvell, Cadence, Dassault Systèmes, and Siemens," said Vu Quoc Huy, Director of NIC, at the opening ceremony. "We aim to develop an innovation ecosystem focused on strategic technologies such as semiconductors, AI, and intelligent manufacturing."
Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore, Tran Phuoc Anh, emphasized the forum’s role in fostering strategic investment partnerships aligned with Vietnam’s sustainable development and global value chain integration.
Over 150 delegates attended, including representatives from Meta, Marvell, Siemens EDA, Cadence, Dassault Systèmes, A*Star, Viettel, FPT, Deep C, and major Vietnamese cities and provinces like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bac Giang.
Meta, Marvell highlight Vietnam’s strategic potential

Rafael Frankel, Meta’s Asia-Pacific Director of Public Policy, introduced the open-source Vietnamese language dataset ViGen - an AI foundation for community-centered development. He also revealed Meta’s expansion in Vietnam through local production initiatives.
Le Quang Dam, General Director of Marvell Vietnam, praised the country's dynamic investment environment, robust government support, modern infrastructure, and high-quality workforce: "These are the key factors making Vietnam a top destination for high-tech enterprises," he said.
Vietnam plays an increasingly vital role in the innovation ecosystems of both Meta and Marvell. Meta’s planned local production of its Quest 3S VR headset is expected to generate 1,000 jobs and contribute millions to the economy. Meanwhile, Marvell’s Vietnam operations now form the company’s third-largest R&D center globally, with nearly 500 engineers.
High-level dialogue outlines Vietnam’s tech growth
At the themed panel “Unlocking Vietnam’s High-Tech Potential,” speakers from Dassault Systèmes, Siemens, Marvell, Deep C, and Vietnamese high-tech park authorities shared strategic insights on attracting investment and building a sustainable tech ecosystem.
Previously, at the Vietnam-Austria High-Tech and Innovation Forum 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung reiterated: “Science, technology, and innovation are core breakthroughs - crucial drivers of growth, productivity, quality, efficiency, and competitiveness.”
To advance this vision, Vietnam is focused on:
Removing institutional barriers to tech innovation
Investing in digital and R&D infrastructure
Training human capital for the next industrial era
Promoting innovation and digital transformation across the economy
Deepening international cooperation
