Today (May 26), the local task force of Binh Thanh District Police (Ho Chi Minh City) coordinated with the Ward 2 Police of Binh Thanh District to investigate the discovery of a body in a neighborhood alley.

Around dawn on May 25, residents on Bach Dang Street noticed a pile of blankets discarded in the middle of the alley. When they approached to remove the obstruction, they were shocked to find a human body wrapped inside.

Upon receiving the report, police cordoned off the area to examine the scene and conduct a forensic investigation, while also taking witness statements.

Security camera footage revealed that at approximately 2:30 AM on May 25, a young man had carried the bundle of blankets and left it in the alley.

In the early hours of the morning, a man wrapped his mother’s body in blankets and left it in an alley. Authorities have since investigated and clarified the incident.

The deceased was identified as Nguyen Thi Chung T., a 63-year-old local resident. The man in the footage was confirmed to be her son, 27-year-old Nguyen Ngoc C., who works as a security guard at a nearby hospital.

At the police station, C. stated that he had returned home from work on the night of May 24 and found his mother already deceased. Claiming he didn’t know who to contact for help and felt incapable of handling the funeral arrangements, he wrapped her body in blankets and left it at the entrance of the alley in the early hours of May 25.

C. then went to work as usual that morning until police summoned him for questioning. According to relatives and neighbors, the deceased woman had been ill and bedridden. Initial assessments suggest she likely died from natural causes related to her illness.
