On the morning of June 26, the National Costume competition of Miss Supranational 2025 took place in Poland, featuring creative designs from over 60 countries and territories.
Contestants showcased traditional attire that highlighted their cultural stories and national identities through elaborate craftsmanship.
Vietnamese representative Vo Cao Ky Duyen made a memorable impression by embodying a steaming bowl of Hanoi pho accompanied by fried dough sticks. Her costume replicated the iconic blue-and-white porcelain bowl and included details such as slices of beef, fresh herbs, dough sticks, and a dipping sauce bowl placed on her head. Despite the costume’s bulk, Ky Duyen walked confidently, beaming with joy and interacting smoothly with her props.
The enthusiastic support from the audience energized the contestants. While some struggled with oversized designs, most maintained composure and delivered complete performances.
The contestants from the Americas dazzled in vibrant costumes rich with native hues. Miss Brazil, Eduarda Braum, became a hummingbird - the symbol of Espírito Santo state since 1984 - with a handcrafted outfit featuring natural feathers and over 15,000 sparkling crystals. Miss Venezuela, Leix Collins, wore a meticulously crafted, oversized flamingo-inspired costume.
African contestants impressed with tribal designs incorporating brocade fabrics, horns, leather, and wood. British representative Brittany Feeney captivated in a rose-themed ensemble.
European participants often chose designs rooted in folklore and ancient legends. Many Asian representatives saw this segment as a key opportunity to promote their countries' images and traditions globally.
Miss Indonesia, Firsta Yufi Amarta Putri, portrayed Roro Jonggrang - a legendary female figure symbolizing resilience in adversity. Meanwhile, Miss Philippines, Tarah Valencia, made an impact in an outfit featuring Solihiya weaving patterns and Cordillera fabric, representing iconic local craftsmanship.
After the national costume show, Miss Supranational 2025 contestants will proceed to the final round at 1 a.m. on June 28 (Vietnam time). The reigning queen, Harashta Haifa Zahra from Indonesia, will crown her successor.
