On May 16, the Hanoi Authority for Hi-Tech Parks and Industrial Zones hosted the Hoalac Techconnect & Innovation 2025 event.

Held just ahead of Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18), Hoalac Techconnect & Innovation 2025 honored the vital contributions of the science and technology community to the country’s development.

The event also demonstrated the practical implementation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW, issued on December 22, 2024, by the Politburo, which focuses on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Hoalac Techconnect featured impressive presentations and showcased exemplary technologies from Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, emphasizing innovation and real-world application. Highlights included lateral flow immunochromatography technology for point-of-care diagnostics by the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Science and Technology, cGMP-standard stem cell biotechnology and clinical applications by Hoa Lac Stem Cell Technology JSC, water electrolysis for hydrogen and oxygen production used in transportation by Fujidenki JSC, and new-generation real-time interactive livestreaming infrastructure from SSI Digital Technology JSC - aligned with the national digital transformation agenda.

More than a display of cutting-edge products developed by institutions, research centers, universities, and businesses at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, the event served as a space for networking, collaboration, and partnership among Vietnam’s leading scientific and technological forces.

A highlight of the event was the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding and technology transfer agreements, marking significant intersectoral cooperation milestones.

Opening the event, Dr. Vu Xuan Hung, Head of the Hanoi Authority for Hi-Tech Parks and Industrial Zones, emphasized that Resolution 57 outlines strategic directions, positioning science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key breakthroughs and core drivers of fast and sustainable national development in the new era.

The resolution also calls for mobilizing the combined strength of the political system and active participation of businesses, scientists, experts, and citizens to achieve its goals.

Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park is envisioned as a flagship economic model for the nation, designed to foster prosperity by nurturing innovation and enterprise competitiveness. It is also being developed under the model of an open - smart - green science and technology city.

“The Hoalac Techconnect and Innovation 2025 event not only honors outstanding scientific and technological achievements but also creates a platform for collaboration and exchange among Vietnam’s pioneering innovators,” said Dr. Vu Xuan Hung.

Notably, the event featured the announcement of a memorandum of cooperation between the Hanoi Authority for Hi-Tech Parks and Industrial Zones and Hanoi University of Science and Technology. This strategic move strengthens the ties between state management and academic research institutions and aims to build a sustainable ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship at Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park.

Additionally, research units and enterprises signed cooperation agreements and technology transfer deals, paving the way for practical applications of scientific research that enhance competitiveness and sustainable growth for Vietnamese businesses.
