Attending the ceremony were Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security and Head of the Subcommittee for Security and Order; Lieutenant General Le Hong Nam, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police; representatives from central ministries and agencies; departments and sectors of Ho Chi Minh City; and officers from the city's police forces.

In his remarks, Deputy Minister Pham The Tung recognized, praised, and highly appreciated the achievements, proactive efforts, and determination shown by the Ho Chi Minh City Police in securing recent commemorative activities.

The Deputy Minister directed Ho Chi Minh City Police and related agencies to focus on critical tasks in the coming period.

Specifically, he instructed that all officers and soldiers be thoroughly briefed to avoid complacency, negligence, or a lack of vigilance. The forces must remain highly focused, fully committed, and dedicate all resources to ensuring absolute security and safety for the anniversary celebrations.

"This deployment marks the point when Ho Chi Minh City Police and other involved forces shift into the highest state of operational readiness, fully prepared with personnel, vehicles, and measures to guarantee security and order for the celebrations," emphasized Lieutenant General Pham The Tung.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized the need for thorough review and verification of all assigned tasks, timely updates and adjustments to plans and strategies, particularly for complex situations that may arise.

He stressed the effective execution of high-intensity crime suppression campaigns, prevention of illegal immigration, and the importance of conducting thorough patrols and controls to ensure security, managing residence registration, weapons, explosives, and other sensitive areas. These actions aim to cleanse the local environment and create a safe, secure atmosphere for the celebrations.

Lieutenant General Pham The Tung also instructed the forces to effectively implement traffic diversion, route division, and remote traffic guidance plans to avoid congestion that could disrupt the event.

Importantly, security forces must be deployed according to approved plans, creating a seamless, multilayered, and tightly coordinated defense structure at celebration venues. Strict adherence to duty shifts, readiness protocols, information reporting, and centralized command under the Subcommittee for Security and Order was also mandated.

The Deputy Minister expressed confidence that Ho Chi Minh City Police, together with relevant forces, would closely coordinate and successfully ensure absolute security and safety for the country’s significant April 30 celebrations.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung officially issued the deployment order for security and order forces for the 50th anniversary of Vietnam’s reunification.
