The Hanoi People's Committee has officially established the organizing committee for the celebration, military parade, and march to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On June 6, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision to form the organizing committee responsible for coordinating the celebration, military parade, and march in honor of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

According to the decision, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh will serve as the Head of the Organizing Committee.

Nguyen Van Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, has been appointed as the Standing Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee.

The Organizing Committee is tasked with overseeing the city's activities and preparations for the commemorative events in line with the plan set by the Central Steering Committee and the Hanoi People’s Committee.

Additionally, the Organizing Committee is responsible for reporting progress and event details to the Central Steering Committee and the City Party Committee.
