The 2025 Asian Pencak Silat Championship is co-organized by the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT), the Department of Physical Education and Sports, and the People's Committee of Ha Tinh Province. The event will be held at the Ha Tinh Sports Arena.
Athletes will compete for 32 sets of medals across two major categories: Senior Tanding (Match) Events and Senior Artistic Events.
According to leaders of the Ha Tinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, hosting the championship will contribute to promoting the province’s economic, cultural, social, and tourism potential, while highlighting its cultural heritage to both domestic and international audiences.
The event is also expected to enhance public access to cultural and recreational activities, especially for Ha Tinh residents and neighboring provinces, and to inspire the local population - particularly youth - to engage more in sports and physical fitness.
In addition, the event provides valuable experience for local agencies, organizations, and event teams in managing large-scale sports competitions in the future.
It affirms Ha Tinh’s potential as a key destination for major regional sporting events and helps elevate the province’s profile in Asian athletics.
The tournament is also seen as a driving force for the development of local economy, culture, and tourism, while promoting Ha Tinh’s image to a broader audience.
To ensure the tournament’s success, Ha Tinh authorities have directed relevant departments to rigorously prepare every aspect - from facilities and competition venues to accommodations, healthcare, security, and media.
Above all, safety for all participants, including PERSILAT and Asian Federation officials, referees, athletes, and spectators, remains a top priority throughout the event.
