Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc on May 15 signed a decision authorising the Ministry of Finance to allocate over 1,308 tonnes of rice from national reserves to support residents in the northern mountainous province of Cao Bang during the early-2025 lean season.

The rice will be provided free of charge to assist those facing food insecurity during this critical period.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health to implement the decision in line with their functions and tasks, and ensure accurate data and compliance with regulations.
