Vietnam’s central city takes a bold economic leap with a new trade zone integrating logistics, tech, and services across strategic locations.
The Da Nang Free Trade Zone, which will cover more than 2,300ha with key function sites for manufacturing, a logistics centre and trade and services, would need an investment of 40 trillion VNA (1.6 billion USD).
The area will be part of a 20,000-hectare economic zone built by the southern coast of the city.
Dong Nai proposes four locations for a free trade zone near Long Thanh Airport, aiming to drive economic growth and attract global investors.
The establishment of a free trade zone in Dong Nai is expected to boost trade, investment and create jobs, while contributing to developing an ASEAN logistics hub.
The seaport-linked FTZ in the Cai Mep Ha vicinity is expected to boost the maritime economy to capitalise on the strategic location of Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
