The two AI Factories developed by FPT Corporation have officially entered the TOP500 list of the world’s most powerful supercomputers, underscoring the group’s capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud computing.

TOP500 is a prestigious global ranking of high-performance computing (HPC) systems based on the LINPACK benchmark, which evaluates a system’s ability to perform complex numerical calculations in FLOPS (floating point operations per second).

The TOP500 list, launched in 1993 by three renowned HPC researchers, is published twice a year and is widely recognized by governments, scientific institutions, and businesses as a standard for assessing hardware performance, system design, operational optimization, and the ability to handle large-scale AI and scientific tasks.

In the latest rankings released in June 2025, FPT’s AI Factories in Japan and Vietnam ranked 36th and 38th respectively.

This achievement places FPT’s AI Factory among the world’s leading supercomputing infrastructures and establishes FPT as the top provider of commercial AI Cloud services in Japan, powered by the NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPU SXM5.

Specifically, the AI Factory in Japan features 146,304 processing cores with a LINPACK performance of 49.85 petaflops (PFlops). Meanwhile, the AI Factory in Vietnam has 142,240 cores and achieves a performance of 46.65 PFlops.

Both facilities utilize the InfiniBand NDR400 network, enabling scalable expansion from a single GPU to clusters of hundreds of servers per region. This setup ensures high performance and low latency for large-scale AI and HPC workloads.

This 65th edition of the TOP500 not only confirms the computational power and technical capacity of FPT’s AI Factories but also highlights their internationally certified service quality-ready to meet the AI research, development, and deployment needs of organizations, enterprises, and individuals worldwide.

The recognition also marks Vietnam’s first entry into the group of the world’s top 15 AI nations, joining global powers such as the United States, China, Japan, Germany, and France. It reflects FPT’s effort to elevate Vietnam’s position in the global technology landscape.

FPT aims to build three additional AI Factories worldwide over the next five years, supporting Vietnam’s ambition to lead the region in AI infrastructure.

“FPT AI Factory is not only a leap in high-performance computing infrastructure but also addresses a critical market gap-making AI accessible and applicable across all sectors. With this platform, organizations, businesses, and individuals-not only in Vietnam and Japan but globally-can develop customized AI solutions, gain a competitive edge, and accelerate digital transformation,” said Le Hong Viet, CEO of FPT Smart Cloud.

Launched in November 2024, FPT’s AI Factory has already been selected by leading tech companies like LandingAI to develop advanced AI solutions, contributing real value to society.
