
A major fire broke out at Ba Vi National Park (Hanoi) late in the evening of April 19, accompanied by thick smoke that caused alarm among residents, who promptly alerted local authorities.
According to initial reports, the fire started at approximately 9:00 PM in the Tràng Dể area of the national park. Upon receiving the emergency call, response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Leaders from the Ba Vi National Park Forest Protection Department confirmed the incident and said that functional forces were quickly moving to reach the fire zone.
By 10:00 PM, Do Huu The, Director of Ba Vi National Park, reported that the district authorities had mobilized hundreds of personnel to the area to extinguish the flames. Both the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Ba Vi District People’s Committee, along with military units, were present and joined forces with local residents to fight the fire.
By around 10:30 PM, Mr. The stated that the blaze had been mostly brought under control.
“Authorities and residents are currently working to eliminate smoldering embers to prevent any potential spread of the fire,” he said.
