Black Dog, the winning film of the Un Certain Regard section at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, will compete in the Asian Film section at the third Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF III).

Despite record box office success, Vietnam’s two top-grossing directors opt out of the third Da Nang Asian Film Festival.

DANAFF has announced its first workshop and project market for arthouse filmmakers around Asia.

In February last year, director Pham Ngoc Lan's feature film “Cu Li Khong Bao Gio Khoc (Cu Li Never Cries)” won the Best First Feature Award at the festival, earning a 50,000 EUR prize.
