
According to the latest Vietnam Household Living Standards Survey Report by the General Statistics Office (GSO), the average monthly per capita income nationwide stands at VND 4.96 million ($195).
Hanoi ranks second, with an average income of VND 6.86 million ($270) per person per month, followed by Dong Nai in third place at VND 6.57 million ($259). Ho Chi Minh City comes in fourth, with an average income of VND 6.51 million ($256).
Binh Duong tops the list
Maintaining its first-place position is Binh Duong, where the average per capita income reaches VND 8.29 million ($326) per month.
Located in the Southeastern region of Vietnam, Binh Duong is part of the Southern Key Economic Zone and has long been known as Vietnam’s industrial hub. The province is undergoing a transformation into a multi-functional economic powerhouse.
Notably, Binh Duong is the first province in Vietnam to have five cities: Ben Cat, Thu Dau Mot, Tan Uyen, Thuan An, Di An.
A new face in the top 10
Ranked 10th on the list is Hai Duong, with an average income of VND 5.33 million ($210) per person per month. This marks its first appearance among Vietnam’s top 10 highest-earning provinces and cities.
