According to authorities, nine stores under C.P. Vietnam in Binh Duong have been granted certificates of eligibility for food safety and hygiene. These certificates were issued in 2023 and remain valid for three years.

As planned, two interdisciplinary inspection teams will visit stores located in the cities of Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen, and Ben Cat.

The purpose of this inspection campaign is to review compliance with legal regulations regarding food hygiene and safety, product origin, and business conditions at C.P. Vietnam's retail locations. The teams will examine legal documents, inspect actual conditions at each site, interview relevant personnel, and collect samples for testing if necessary.

The director of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Aquatic Affairs stated that the inspections were prompted by social media reports involving controversies surrounding C.P. Vietnam.

Previously, the agency had implemented an annual monitoring plan for this store chain. Up to now, there have been no reported violations or complaints from the public regarding food safety issues at C.P. stores.

Nonetheless, this surprise inspection aims to ensure that the company strictly adheres to regulations and maintains product quality in its food retail operations across the province.
