On May 21, the relic was ceremoniously transported from Tam Chuc Pagoda in Ha Nam to the Tam The Hall at Bai Dinh Pagoda in Ninh Binh, allowing monks, Buddhists, and the public to offer their reverence.
The procession carrying the Buddha relic traveled along National Highway 1A from Ha Nam to Hoa Lu City, passing through numerous streets lined with awaiting devotees. By midday, the convoy entered Trang An Road en route to Bai Dinh Pagoda.
Upon arrival, the limousine carrying the relic stopped at the entrance of the temple. Monks from both Vietnam and India then escorted the sacred relic along a 300-meter path into the Tam The Hall.
After completing traditional rites and ceremonial steps, the relic was placed inside a glass case within the hall, where monks, followers, and the public could respectfully observe and offer prayers.
The veneration ceremony of the Shakyamuni Buddha relic at Bai Dinh Pagoda began this afternoon and will continue until 10 a.m. the following day.
