More than 1,000 traditional Vietnamese conical hats were used to form an impressive map of Vietnam, captivating both locals and tourists at a cultural event in Ninh Binh.
On April 30, the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism, in coordination with the People’s Committee of Hoa Lu City and representatives of the Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourist Area, launched the “Non La - Vietnam Festival 2025.”
This vibrant festival is part of a broader tourism event series running from April 30 to May 3, blending art with the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.
At the opening ceremony, visitors were treated to a visual spectacle: a Vietnam-shaped map made from more than 1,000 conical hats (non la), along with an eye-catching cavalry performance.
As part of the festival, numerous artistic and cultural programs are held throughout the duration, including “Glamorous Hoa Lu” (a traditional costume showcase) and “Hoa Lu Dance of Crafts” (a theatrical reenactment celebrating local artisanal heritage).
During the event, tourists can also explore Ninh Binh’s natural and cultural attractions, join in off-road racing competitions, and experience interactive village activities. One of the highlights, “Run to the Village,” attracted many amateur athletes from across the country.
Alongside the festivities, visitors can enjoy Ninh Binh’s signature delicacies such as mountain goat meat, crispy rice, and Yen Mac spring rolls.
