The festival features two major parts: the Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Dong Nai Ceramic Festival, both centered around various locations in Bien Hoa City.

The Hot Air Balloon Festival will be the largest of its kind in Vietnam. During the grand opening on the morning of April 27, 50 colorful hot air balloons will rise simultaneously in tethered flights, painting the sky above Bien Hoa with vibrant hues. Tourists can experience tethered flights up to 50 meters high, offering panoramic views of the city from above.

One of the most anticipated highlights is the hot air balloon lantern night, taking place on the evening of April 30 at Nguyen Van Tri Park. Illuminated balloons will create a magical display over the Dong Nai River, offering a surreal and romantic experience for all visitors.

In addition to hot air balloons, the event will feature paragliding performances, ultralight aircraft demonstrations, and giant artistic kite flying, making it a dynamic spectacle both in the air and on the ground.

The 2025 Ceramic Festival will officially open at 5:00 p.m. on April 27 at Dong Nai's Center for Events and External Relations. The event honors Bien Hoa’s traditional ceramic craft with a rich lineup of activities, including an exhibition of ceramic artworks from renowned villages across Vietnam such as Thanh Ha (Quang Nam), red clay pottery from Vinh Long, and Bau Truc pottery from Binh Thuan.

Visitors can also attend a seminar on “Solutions for preserving and developing traditional ceramics in the era of global integration,” as well as a logo and brand identity design competition for the Ceramic Festival. A photography contest showcasing decorative ceramic products will also take place.

Craftsmanship meets the public

The festival will feature presentations on the history, production process, and evolution of Bien Hoa ceramics. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the Tan Hanh Ceramic Industrial Cluster and witness the intricate work of skilled artisans while engaging directly with them through public interaction sessions.

With a vibrant atmosphere in the skies and a deep cultural foundation on the ground, the Dong Nai Balloon and Ceramic Festival is set to be one of Vietnam’s most memorable holiday events in 2025.
