Cam Linh Beach in Ha Tinh offers serene beauty, fresh seafood, and peaceful vibes just 380km from Hanoi.
After a 5.5-hour drive from Hanoi, travelers can reach Cam Linh Beach - also known as Hai Dang Cua Nhuong Beach - in Cam Xuyen District, Ha Tinh. This hidden gem offers crystal-clear waters, serene natural scenery, and a peaceful atmosphere.
“In the past, when thinking of pristine, blue beaches, most of us would mention places like Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Binh Thuan, or Ninh Thuan,” said Nguyen Hong Nhat, a 35-year-old architect from Hanoi.
“But during a road trip along Vietnam’s central coast, from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang, we were genuinely surprised and delighted to discover Cam Linh Beach in Ha Tinh, with its untouched charm and vibrant turquoise waters.”

Located more than 30km southeast of Ha Tinh City and just 5km from the popular Thien Cam tourist area, Cam Linh Beach stretches over 4km.
The beach is bordered by majestic mountains on one side and shimmering waters on the other. During summer and fall, the sea takes on a stunning emerald hue. The shoreline is dotted with natural rock formations of various unique shapes.

Beyond its breathtaking views, the area is also known for fresh seafood like jumping squid, lobster, blood cockles, mussels, and grouper. These delicacies can be enjoyed at local seafood restaurants in Cam Linh Commune. While the eateries are simple in design, they are spacious, clearly list prices, and are far more affordable than those in many other beach destinations.
“Cam Linh truly lives up to the label of an untouched beach. It retains its natural beauty, but because services are limited, visitors who want to camp should bring snacks, water, personal items, and garbage bags,” Nhat advised.

Nhat’s family woke up early to enjoy the sunrise over the sea, paddleboard (SUP), snorkel near the shore, and visit Cua Nhuong Lighthouse.
Standing 15 meters tall, the Cua Nhuong Lighthouse is considered the “eye of the sea,” guiding fishing boats safely in and out of the harbor.
From the top, visitors can take in panoramic views: the vast sea to the east, the Thien Cam tourist area and Cam Nhuong fishing village to the north, and the peaceful countryside of Cam Linh to the south.

If visitors have more time in Cam Xuyen, Nhat recommends exploring Yen Lac Pagoda in Cam Nhuong, known for its serene ambiance and elegant architecture, or strolling through the pine forests of Hong Linh Mountain. Don’t miss out on local specialties like ram rolls, banh muot (steamed rolls), and banh beo (water fern cake).
Another must-visit is Con Go Fish Market in Cam Nhuong Commune, just a short drive from Cam Linh. Arrive at dawn to find the freshest catch at very reasonable prices: squid for around 300,000 - 350,000 VND/kg (USD 12 - 14), scad for 50,000 - 60,000 VND/kg (USD 2 - 2.50), shrimp for 120,000 - 250,000 VND/kg (USD 5 - 10), and mackerel for 210,000 - 240,000 VND/kg (USD 8.50 - 9.75).
Cam Xuyen District lies between Vung Ang Economic Zone and Ha Tinh City, and is also known for the Thien Cam beach resort, the memorial site of late General Secretary Le Duan, and Ke Go Lake.
Those visiting Ha Tinh during the summer can explore other pristine beaches in the area such as Ky Ninh, Xuan Thanh, Thach Hai, Ky Xuan, and Xuan Hai.
