About 5.5 hours by car from Hanoi, a beach in Ha Tinh Province is charming visitors with its untouched beauty, crystal-clear waters, long stretches of white sand, and picturesque natural rock formations.

Ky Xuan Beach spans approximately 13 kilometers in a crescent shape across three hamlets - Thang Loi, Nguyen Hue, and Xuan Phu - in Ky Xuan Commune, Ky Anh District, Ha Tinh.

Located nearly 45 kilometers from downtown Ha Tinh City, this beach retains its pristine charm, featuring transparent turquoise water, powdery white sand, lush casuarina groves, and distant undulating mountains.

One of Ky Xuan’s most compelling features is its serenity. As tourism has yet to strongly develop here, even during national holidays and the summer peak season, visitors can still enjoy a peaceful, crowd-free experience.

As a result, Ky Xuan is often nicknamed “the sleeping paradise” or “the green gem of Ha Tinh.”

During the April 30th holiday, Quang Hai, a native of Ha Tinh now living in Hanoi, revisited Ky Xuan Beach.

“When I was younger, I used to play here every summer. Now as an adult, I still find this beach incredibly beautiful - clear water, clean shorelines, and a peaceful, soothing atmosphere. During holidays, the vibe gets a little livelier,” Hai shared.

The beach and surrounding greenery create an ideal setting for camping and team-building activities. Early risers can stroll along the shore at sunrise and watch local fishermen return with fresh catches.

In addition to the beach itself, Ky Xuan is home to two natural attractions: Cu Ky Beach and En Island, which lies about five nautical miles offshore.

Visitors can follow a scenic coastal route that includes Thien Cam Beach, then Cam Linh Beach in Cam Xuyen District, before arriving at Ky Xuan.

Cam Linh Beach is about 4 kilometers long and offers a peaceful and romantic setting with a mix of sea and forest landscapes, clear waters, and striking natural rock formations.

Ky Xuan is also known for its fresh seafood, including squid, grouper, pen shell meat, and blood cockles. In early summer, it’s the season for rock crabs - fatty and fragrant delicacies that live in the coastal rock crevices.

Local fishermen dive to catch them. The simplest and most delicious preparation is steaming the whole crabs with beer.

The best time to visit Ky Xuan Beach is from May to September, when the weather is sunny and dry. By late August or early September, the region begins to experience heavier rainfall and occasional storms, so visitors should check forecasts before planning a trip.

In recent years, Ky Anh District has invested in infrastructure to improve access to Ky Xuan Beach, promoting tourism and attracting service and resort development projects.

While there are several restaurants and eateries near the beach, modern lodging options remain limited. Visitors planning extended stays are advised to book accommodations in advance.
